LEFT FIELD…FREDDIE GRANT

skills, great saves, big tackles etc are all dampened
                                            without fans being there.”
What is the mood like inside the dressing
room? Has confidence taken a hit with the
                                            recent run?
“The mood hasn’t been affected. The lads are class,
we all know positivity is key to success.”
On a personal front, how are you finding
things at the club? You have been a little in
                                            and out of the side?
“Joining a new club can sometimes be difficult; I’ve just
got to continue to work hard. A run of games in the
team & I’ll be back to my best.”
Which players have impressed you so far?
How talented is this Bath City side?
“There’s quality all over the pitch but Callum Evans
has been impressive. Non league’s Alexander-Arnold,
                                            genuinely!”
The aim must be to be in the play-offs this
Freddie Grant joined Bath City from season; has the Gaffer set any targets, or is
Maidenhead United in the summer, having it just a case of reaching a consistent level of
previously starred against the Romans for performance?
Oxford City and Wealdstone. The tough- “Yes we all want play-offs & yes, reaching a consistent
tackling and skilful left back was lured to level of performance is required to get there. We will
Twerton Park by the size of the club and the not accept anything less.”
reputation of the City management team.
We caught up with Freddie after the defeat
to Slough last Saturday and, despite some
indifferent results, we found him in good
      spirits…
Freddie, it's been an up-and-down start for
City, with progress to the final qualifying
round of the FA Cup but a disappointing start
in the league; how are you finding things so
      far?
“Yeah it has been up & down. A frustrating start but
      one we are learning from.”
What attracted you to Bath City?
“Bath City has always been one of the biggest clubs in
the National League South for me, finishing in the play-
offs over the last couple of years. I’ve always looked
forward to playing away at Twerton Park.”
Lots of new players have arrived; is it just
a case of the team finding its feet in these
      opening few games?
“Yes it’s a new dressing room but camaraderie is
improving. Certain injuries and change of team have
delayed the process slightly but we are certainly
      heading in the right direction.”
How are you finding playing matches Freddie wins a header during the win over Billericay Town here at
                                                                         Twerton Park.
      behind closed doors?
“We are all used to playing behind closed doors now,
but for me personally, I miss the buzz of fans. Goals,
