THE COVER STORY/WINCHESTER PREVIEW

         Cover Story
Throughout the 2020/21 season, we will be
reproducing a Programme cover of yesteryear.
Today our front cover is the iconic penguins from the
1969/70 season. The yellow and white design cover
displayed two penguins as reference to the nickname
briefly given to City at the time following the
renaming of the supporters club as the penguin club.
City finished 11th in the Southern League Premier
Division in 1969/70 and the average attendance at
         Twerton Park was 1,831 spectators.
