a. Positive Degree

We use a positive degree if we

want to show an equal comparison.

Please pay attention to the

following patterns and examples of

positive degree:

(first) Subject + To be + as (Adjective) as

+ (second) Subject

Example:

1) Julia is as beautiful as Nazwa.

2) The water is as cold as ice.
