A Word from Kayla

IT
All Together All the Time
For all that need to hear...
Life is BUSY and we're entering a season that it's 90 to nothing. I'm here to tell you that
if you don't have it all together, you're not alone.
What can we do to push through?
Prioritize, you may have to put some stuff off, so be it. Most importantly, make time for
yourself and your family. Fulfill your commitments and maybe reduce what you take on in
the future. I said it... Quantity is not always quality. If you think packing in one more
activity to an already busy schedule is going to get you that scholarship or acceptance
letter, you're approaching it the wrong way. I'd rather see 4-H'ers do a few things really
well than a lot of things half heartedly.
From watching you all grow up, I've come to realize that time is so precious. There's a post
I see on Instagram quite a bit an it reminds parents that we only have 18 Christmas, 18
Thanksgivings, 18 Birthdays before our kids move out. When you don't think of it in terms
of years, it's a real punch in the gut. I'm giving you all permission to slow down take
advantage of that family time, and allow yourself to catch up.
Don't busy your life for others so much that you end up missing your own.
