        GOAL

What a your goals for 2025?

When setting goals, it's important to aim for things you can directly control, not outcomes dependent on
other people's opinions. This principle is crucial for personal growth and long-term success.

Take livestock shows, for example. Winning a blue ribbon or placing at the top might feel like a solid goal, but
the reality is that judges' opinions—subjective as they are—determine those outcomes. No matter how

much effort you put into preparing your animal, factors beyond your control, like a judge's preference, can
          sway the result.

Instead, focus on goals that measure your effort and improvement. For instance, aim to improve your
animal's daily care routine, refine your handling skills, or track progress in its growth and conditioning. These
objectives depend solely on your dedication and persistence.

The beauty of effort-based goals is that they keep the power in your hands. You can't guarantee you'll walk

out with a ribbon, but you can ensure you've put in the work to become better each day. And the great thing
about this mindset? Success often follows when you focus on what you can control.
So set goals that are about you—your actions, your progress, your growth. The ribbons might just take care

          of themselves.
