A Word from Kayla
Senior Send Off
To my graduating seniors before you start your next adventure...
Wait until Thanksgiving to come home (parents try not to hate me for this). This is your
time to establish your next phase of life. If you're always coming home, or your parents are
always traveling to see you, when are you going to get to explore? It's three months, it's
totally doable, and trust me, you'll get less homesick the fewer times you're having to say
goodbye.
Failure is part of life, don't let it get you off course. If you are putting forth the effort and
something just doesn't work out, mark it down as a learning experience and don't dwell on
it. Failure is gong to happen. Review what you could've done differently and move on.
Try to handle your own issues. You're an adult, you're on your own. You can make your own
appointments, get your oil changed and set your school schedule.
If you make a mistake, own up to it.
Enjoy this time. I see so many try to rush through this time of their life. It's not a race to
see who can finish first.
Continuing your education is hard. College is hard. You may have been smart at your
school, but there's a lot of smart people at an institution of higher learning. It's not an
excuse to slack off, but realistically, sometimes an "A" just isn't in the cards.
Go change the world for the better!
Be KIND
