MOTIVATED
Understanding the Ups and Downs
Motivation is like a wave—it comes and goes. Some days, you'll feel unstoppable, ready to tackle any
challenge. Other days, even the smallest task feels like a mountain. That's normal! The key to success isn't
having constant motivation—it's learning how to keep going even when you don't feel like it.
Why Motivation Fades
Burnout: Working too hard without breaks can drain your energy.
Lack of Progress: If results don't come quickly, frustration sets in.
Distractions: Social media, friends, or other interests can pull you away from your goal.
Self-Doubt: Feeling like you're not good enough can kill motivation.
How to Push Through
1. Remember Your "Why" – Keep your goal in mind. Write it down, make a vision board, or set reminders.
2. Build Discipline – Motivation fades, but discipline keeps you moving forward. Stick to your routine even
when you don't feel like it. Do I feel like waking up at 3:30AM every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
to go run a minimum of 5 miles? Most times the answer is, absolutely NOT, but I do it anyways.
3. Break It Down – Big goals feel overwhelming. Focus on small, manageable steps.
4. Find Support – Surround yourself with people who push you to do better.
5. Take Care of Yourself – Rest, eat well, and take breaks. A tired mind loses motivation fast.
Success isn't about always feeling motivated—it's about showing up and doing the work, even on tough days.
Keep going!
