Succulent Craft for Residents at Carriage Inn
Steubenville, OH.
On August 15, 2025,
a GCU GoGive craft
project was provided to the residents at Carriage Inn Nursing
& Rehabilitation Center. Each resident at Carriage Inn was
given an empty jelly jar. They filled it with different colored
sand then planted a succulent on the top for their room. Each
resident also received snacks and drinks. A fun afternoon
was had by all. As I was walking out different residents would
stop me and thank me. They really enjoyed the project.
Some residents were not able to come to
the event. So we made the craft and de-

They were very grateful that we thought of
them. I had some extras so Sunday after
church, some of our church members did
the project.

Lakes Gives Back BFA Summer Food Program
Leland, NC. As part of their “Lakes Gives Back” program, the Lakes neighbor-
hood in Brunswick Forest, Leland, NC donated over 370 pounds of food to
Brunswick Family Assistance of Brunswick County (NC). The food was then dis-
tributed through BFA’s Summer Food Program to children in Grades K-8 helping
to address food insecurity when school meals are unavailable. Thank you to the
GCU GoGive! Grant which allowed us to purchase additional food for the project.
