ROAD TO RESPONSIBILITY
MAKING LIVES BETTER
Leslie Bowdring Stanwood Joins
RTR’s Board of Directors
We are pleased to announce Leslie Bowdring Stanwood of Hingham as a member
of the Board of Directors.
In this capacity, she, along with other members of the Board, will assist in
overseeing the direction of the organization that for 35 years has provided the means, the opportunity, and the
support necessary to allow citizens with disabilities to take their place as productive members of the community.
Stanwood is an Executive Vice President and a Senior Global Relationship Manager with the Zurich Insurance
Group, with managerial responsibility for all aspects of her global customers including relationship building,
strategic planning, and global Zurich Financial Group coordination.
“RTR is very fortunate to have Leslie join our board,” said George Ford, Chairman of the Road to Responsibility
Board of Directors. “She brings an extraordinary depth of experience from the national insurance industry and is
a welcome addition.”
“It is a privilege to serve on the board of Road to Responsibility and I look forward to supporting the continuation
of RTR’s mission to improve and make lives better for all people with disabilities,” said Stanwood. “RTR is an
organization that enriches lives and makes a positive difference for so many.”
Best Place to Work
We are proud to announce that Road to Responsibility has been named a Best
Place to Work by Cape & Plymouth Business Media for the second consecutive
year.
RTR is one of 40 organizations nominated by staff, volunteers and/or vendors to
be selected for the honor. All nominations were voted based on criteria in team
culture, hiring, training, community service, and company communication.
“We wanted to give professionals in our area a voice within the business
community,” said Dale Shadbegian, owner of Cape & Plymouth Business
Media. “Best Places to Work is more than a salary and benefits. It’s about feeling
appreciated, having purpose and making a positive impact in everyday work life. “There are so many great places
to work, even more than we could possibly fit into our list,” Shadbegian added. “It was an extremely difficult
decision for the panel to choose the final 40.”
“This is an honor that we truly take pride in,” said Christopher T. White, Ed.D., president and CEO of Road
to Responsibility. “The last few years have created a challenging work environment for everyone. To see that
our employees recognize the efforts we are taking to make sure they know how much we appreciate them is
incredibly gratifying. We are also so grateful to Cape & Plymouth Business Media for this special recognition.”
said White.
