Steven Karidoyanes conducts the Phil and Broadway vocalists in
a concert celebrating these iconic women of music—Bette Midler,
Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton, Tina Turner, and Cher!
Two Worlds, One Land
JANUARY 29, 2022 | 7:30 PM
In a program that honors the living story of the Wampanoag Nation
who live among us and upon whose land the town of Plymouth
resides, the Phil performs two pieces of new music. Wampanoag
historian and storyteller, Jonathan James Perry, narrates an
orchestral tone poem inspired by legends of the Wampanoag Nation.
In contrast, composer Alex Berko draws from the origins of The
Mayflower Compact. Each piece invites a powerful reflection on the
convergence of these two worlds.

Sons of Serendip, the incredible classical crossover ensemble, has been
wowing audiences since their amazing performance on America’s
Got Talent in 2014. Experience their live concert, full of inspirational
storytelling, delightful covers and heartfelt original music.
The Sound & the Fury: Music & Mother Nature

Pack your rain boots for a weather-related one-hour afternoon
symphonic Phil concert that’s perfect for all, come rain or shine!
WCVB-Channel 5 Meteorologist Mike Wankum forecasts a wild
afternoon of fun, a mix of calm and exuberance, and a downpour of
music inspired by nature and weather.

Ode to Joy celebrates the resiliency of the human spirit! BSO associate
concertmaster, Alexander Velinzon, joins us for the Violin Concerto.
Symphony No. 5 completes this all-Beethoven program honoring one
of the most innovative and influential composers of all time.
Mysteries of the Heart
APRIL 30, 2022 | 7:30 PM
Finlandia by Sibelius is a work of musical patriotism with a luminous
celebratory soul. Amy Beach’s Piano Concerto is a veritable tour
de force between piano and orchestra. Acclaimed pianist Randall
Hodgkinson brings intensity and excellence to this turbulent, robust,
and riveting concerto. Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations manifests a
mystery of the heart, conveying a string of varied emotions.

Bring your shades and dancing shoes for a pops finale bursting with
Grammy winning music and a whole lot of energy! The Phil joins forces
with world-class vocalists for two shows featuring the music of Billy Joel!
All concerts are at Plymouth Memorial Hall except
for the September 4th Plymouth Waterfront concert
and Beethoven@250+ which will be held at Plymouth
North HS Performing Arts Center. Steven Karidoyanes
conducts the Phil’s 2021-22 season.
