This weekend, we are delighted to welcome Broadway
singers Shaleah Adkisson and Tamika Lawrence,
and pianist John Boswell to join the orchestra in
an exhilarating tribute to Tina Turner and Aretha
Franklin. What a fun way to end a spectacular season!

On page 12, you will find an announcement of the Phil’s 109th concert season. We
have exciting programs planned for you! You will find everything from George
Gershwin’s An American in Paris to our ever-popular Holiday concerts and a
Celtic celebration with Eileen Ivers. How do you choose? Make it easy and
reserve your seats now. Buy a subscription to three or more concerts, and you
will receive a 15% discount on all your tickets! Don’t wait. Sign up to reserve

As we close out another successful season, I’d like to take a minute to thank
the myriad of people who make it all possible. First, I’d like to thank the Phil’s
board of directors, led by chair John Emler. Although the board’s presence is
mostly unseen, they provide valuable support, guidance, and fiscal oversight. Of
course, a big thank you to our music director, Steven Karidoyanes, and all the
outstanding musicians of the Phil. Without fail, they provide wonderful music
played beautifully. How lucky are we to have a professional symphony orchestra
right here on the South Shore?
I’d also like to thank my dedicated staff: Kara McEachern, Gail Dunford, Erin
LaFleur, and Elizabeth Lamar-Pinchback. This small but mighty team is the
engine behind the music. I can’t even begin to list all the things that need to be
done before the musicians even get to the stage, and this team gets it all done
while providing the best guest experience possible and unmatched customer
service.
In addition, we have a fantastic concert production crew, along with a team
of volunteer ushers who greet you at every concert and ensure you get to your
seats. Every one of these people is key to producing these wonderful concerts –
and I can’t thank them enough.
