Bonjour

My name is Syakir Samion, I am a passionate Urban Planner and also a Navy Reservist in the
Royal Malaysian Navy who graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2019. I am currently
working as an Town Planner for almost three years, and it’s been an awesome journey that
exposes me to design something from scratch of paper and turn it into reality.

A fast learner with leadership potential who also develops a strong work ethic and strong
communication abilities. Also, I have an easy-going nature that makes me work well with others
in order to produce outstanding outputs.

Aside from that, I am currently pursuing a Master of Science (Business Intelligence and
Analytics) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, from which I expect to graduate in 2023. I have
always dreamed of combining and making both fields a reality in the future. I am excited to
expand my knowledge and skills as an urban planner and data analyst, particularly in urban
areas and city design.
