        AI to simplifies and optimises
        machine vision configuration

Traditionally, to identify defects and scratches in
production has required the sensitivity and
knowledge of technicians with extensive experience.
But owing to rising labour costs and shortage of
skilled labour, manufacturers need to automate
processes that once relied on the senses of experienced human workers. To solve this challenge in
the ‘factory of the future’, Omron has integrated artificial intelligence (AI) and machine vision to
develop two new solutions: AI Fine Matching and AI Scratch Detect Filter. Read more here

        Plastic bearings ensure precise
        and easy linear movements

The new iglidur W360CM series linear bearings from
Igus are designed to slide on round shafts with high
precision. The linear bearing consists of an aluminium
housing and a polymer liner, which ensures high
accuracy. The design allows precise movement. By
using iglidur W360 high-performance polymers, no external lubrication is needed. The dimensions
of the new bearings are interchangeable with metallic linear ball bearings, so that they can be easily
converted to a 1:1 ratio. Read more here

        Virtual machine safety dashboard from

        Sick promises more machine uptime

Sick Safety Machine Analytics is a simple new live data-
collection service that makes machine safety systems
transparent, so that events can be responded to rapidly,
while longer-term analysis optimises maintenance and improves productivity. It displays a live
visualisation of one or more machines so users can monitor the status of safety processes in real
time, investigate the root-causes of stoppages, and take steps to eliminate them. The software
supports improved OEE by acquiring data from safety sensors, then displaying interrupts in real
time, as well as a graphical representation of system trends. Read more here
