Sick’s Deep Learning brings simplicity
to complex AI inspection applications
Sick has launched a suite of Deep Learning apps and
services to simplify machine vision quality inspection for
challenging components, assemblies, surfaces or food
produce, especially those that have previously defied
automation and remained distinguishable only by human inspection. With Deep Learning,
programmable Sick devices take decisions automatically using specially-optimised neural networks
and run accurate and reliable inspections that would have previously been extremely challenging or
simply impossible to achieve in high-speed automated processes. Read more here
Control Techniques launches updated
PowerTools studio module and software
Control Techniques has launched the next generation of its
Motion Made Easy servo control suite. The new PTi210 module, and
accompanying software, are designed for use with Control Techniques’
Unidrive M and Digitax HD servo drive platforms. Integrating PTi210 enables the user to now
access the comprehensive, easy-to-use PowerTools Studio software interface. Working together, the
PTi210 PowerTools integration module and PowerTools Studio software provides a cost-effective way

Energy and data transmission rolled out
and connected in under 60 minutes
A new energy chain system for intralogistics and crane
systems has been designed by Igus. The company has
designed and manufactured the ‘autoglide 5 system’, a
unique product which guides energy safely, for long distances
and at a low cost. The Igus autoglide 5 system can be used
to manage energy, data, liquids, and air. It is ideally suited
for crane systems and intralogisticss. Igus is currently testing
the service life of the new energy chain in its 3,800 sq m test laboratory. Read more here
