EMS offers latest innovation in
motors with internal aperture
New from EMS is the Faulhaber
DM66200H series of hollow shaft stepper
motors, boasting a new direct drive
mechanism for applications that require a
uniquely wide aperture, while providing impressive performance values.
The DM66200H series’ direct drive uses Faulhaber’s trusted stepper
motor technology to enable the motor to run around the aperture and
directly drive the surrounding mechanics, removing the need for a
transmission. The repeatability of this technology and high holding torque
also removes the need for a brake or encoder in most cases. The motor
has a small moving mass despite its large aperature, providing speeds of
up to 2,000rpm.

Igus rolls out chainflex box to
save users time and money
A new chainflex cable box is proving a
best seller for Igus. The chainflex CASE
is a new logistics solution that is saving
customers both time and money. John
Barker, chainflex cable product
manager at Igus, said: “Instead of
pallet deliveries by courier, we now
deliver cables by parcel service in a recyclable box. Customers save up to
84% on their shipping cost and because the boxes are stackable; it has
never been easier to set up a customised storage at the production site.”
The chainflex CASE is also proving a popular for companies that do not
have the capacity for large or expensive cable racks.

Omron introduces 1S Series AC servo drives
and motors with motion safety functionality
Omron has launched its new 1S Series AC
servo drives and motors, which include
motion safety. This ensures machine
operator safety, shortens commissioning
time and minimises machine downtime
and production losses. Integrating motion
safety functions into the servo drives and
motors also minimises costs, components
and wiring complexity. Thanks to motion safety, manufacturers can avoid
machine stops, avoid interference during an unexpected shutdown and
achieve zero-loss production due to a synchronised emergency stop.
