How to Get Rid of Clothes Moths
The first hint that your wardrobe or cupboards have been invaded by clothes moths is when you try on something and see tiny holes in the fabric.
The larvae of the moths are the culprits. They feed on the fabrics in areas where there are stains or smells.
The holes they leave are usually located in obvious places which can’t be mended easily or hidden with a well-placed brooch or scarf! All too often, moth holes in clothes mean they are beyond salvage. It’s better then to bag up those affected clothes and place them in the bin.
If you uncover a moth breeding ground inside wardrobes or cupboards, you need to take immediate action. Why? The moths will continue to wreak havoc on your remaining clothes so the sooner you take action, the better! Otherwise, you could might have to replace all the clothes you own!
Begin by removing all the clothes from your wardrobe and cupboards.
Vacuum the entire room, paying close attention to the insides of the wardrobe and cupboards and all the shelving and skirting boards. Use the vacuum attachments to get into all the corners and shelves, cracks and crevices and so on.
