COBH COMMUNITY CANCER FUNDRAISER!

The Staff & Management of Garveys Supervalu Cobh are delighted to announce that on Sat-
urday March 9th in association with Great Island 4Peaks Challenge 2019 we will be holding a
12hr spinathon in-store in aid of the Mercy Hospital Foundation Cork. All money raised will go
towards Poons which provides a mobile cancer service for kids!
HEALTH & WELLNESS
We will joined on the day by several local Health & Fitness Clubs from Cobh & will have free
nutritional advice & tips from some of Cork’s leading nutrionists. Keep tuned over the next
week where we will be announcing all participants & schedule for the day. Also some fantastic
offers & giveaways in-store on the day.
Legendary Cobh DJ Flea will be doing his own spinathon on the decks providing 12 hours of
music on the day.

What is Poons?
Our mobile cancer nurse service for kids – POONS
This crucial service allows children who are suffering from cancer to be treated in their own
homes. The service covers a large geographical area from Youghal to Bantry and Mitchelstown
to Kinsale, as well as surrounding counties so that all children have access to this service
regardless of their location.
