Old Photographs Wanted: School Days, Cobh & Great Island

People of Cobh and Great Island, Sirius Arts Centre are interested in seeing your old school
    photographs.
The photographs and any associated information will form part of an archive and exhibition on
display at Sirius from May until July 2019. The exhibition will open on 2nd of May in conjunc-
tion with This Must Be The Place | The Great Island (2nd-12th May) and See You Tomorrow a
project and exhibition by Elizabeth Woods and Kevin Leong.
Did you go to a school in Cobh or elsewhere on Great Island? Do you have any class photos,
individual portraits, sports day photos, snapshots from the school play or something more
unusual? Perhaps you have school photos featuring your parents, grandparents or great grand-
parents or any other relatives? Did you go to school in the former yacht club, currently Sirius
    Arts Centre?

This call-out is mainly aimed at those who are no longer at school and in possession of trea-
sured old photographs from bygone eras. This can be anytime from the mid 19th Century right
up to the 1990s. Current and more recent school goers will be contacted separately, via their
schools, in order to bring things up to date.

If you have some photographs and stories you would like to share please contact Brian Mac
Domhnaill at Sirius Arts Centre by emailing production@siriusartscentre.ie or call us on 021
