PHASE ONE - GOLF COURSE
The typical life expectancy of a golf course irrigation
systems varies from 10 to 20 years. Good preventative
maintenance has helped the Club’s system last 30 plus
years. Our galvanized pipe is old and outdated and the
pressure from the system causes leaks and busted
sprinkler heads regularly. Our yearly irrigation
maintenance cost has become substantial. A modern
system will lower the cost dramatically as well as lower the
electricity cost by as much as 30 to 40% per year.
Renovating our out-of-date system will not only improve
our efficiency, provide better quality turfgrass and enhance
aesthetics but it will also give our maintenance staff more
time for other areas of the course.
The low tree canopy at the Club has blocked the air flow
and ability for the grass around those trees and on the
greens to get sunlight. Large low branches have grown to
the extent that they are drooping and sagging toward the
ground. This can also inhibit intended shot lines. These
weaker branches are also susceptible to breaking and
falling off causing additional maintenance costs. By lifting
the canopy, you will begin to have views of the beautiful
property that the Club naturally has.
