DR. MEHMET GÖKTEPE
He was born in Van. He graduated from Van Yüzüncü
Yıl University Painting Department in 1997. Assistant
Professor at the same university in 2021. Assoc. Dr.
He completed his master's degree with his thesis on
"Figurative Tendencies in Turkish Painting After 1960"
under the supervision of Ali Duzgun. He worked as a
Research Assistant at Mimar Sinan University Fine
Arts Faculty Painting Department between 2010-2016.
Professor at Mimar Sinan University Fine Arts Institute
in 2018. He completed his proficiency in art with his
thesis on "The Human Figure in Turkish Painting in
the Republican Period" under the supervision of Aydın
Ayan. The artist, who opened four solo exhibitions
and won two awards, participated in many national
Urartu'dan(우라르투에서, from Urartu), Oil on canvas, 81 x 100 cm, 2022
and international art biennials, fairs, workshops,
symposiums and group exhibitions with her works.
He was among the founding members of Çukurova
Contemporary Art, Culture and Education Foundation.
The artist, whose works are in official and private
collections, still continues to work as a faculty member
at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Faculty of Fine Arts

ASSOC. PROF. BURCU PEHLIVAN

Burcu Pehlivan was born in 1984 in Merzifon
/ Amasya. In 2006 she was graduated
from Marmara University, Faculty of Ataturk
Education, Department of Fine Arts,
Painting Teaching Programme, BA Degree.
In 2009 she received her MA degree at
Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Institute
of Social Sciences at Painting programme.
In 2009 she started to study Proficiency in
Arts (Doctorate) at the same university and
completed her PhD Degree in 2016. In 2018,
he started to work as a faculty member at
Beykent University, Faculty of Fine Arts,
Sofular Köyünde Kar(Snow in Sofular Village), Oil on canvas, 70x100cm, 2022 Graphic Design Department. She received
the title of Associate Professor in 2022. The
artist has opened five personal exhibitions
and participated in many exhibitions until
today. She still works as a faculty member
at Beykent University, Faculty of Fine Arts,
Graphic Design Department and continues
her artistic studies in Istanbul.
