KANAID SILSAT

Thai Artist Kanaid Silsat’s artwork is concerned with the essential
value systems that lie at the core of his culture. The motivation
for his work resides in his concern for the continuity of cultural
traditions that are rapidly being overtaken by the influence of a
global culture Kanaid has held twelve solo exhibitions in Thailand
Australia and Myanmar and, since 1976, has participated in many
exhibitions representing Thai Artists Nationally. The most recent of
these was the Invitation exhibition “The Clean River” which toured
Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen Art Galleries in 2000. He is represented
in public collections in the Australia National University Canberra,
and, Deakin University Art Collection in Australia, in Khon Kaen
University Art Collection in Thailand and private collections in
America, Australia, France, Papua New Guinea, Japan, Myanmar ,
India, China and throughout Thailand. Later Kanaid retired from
Khon Kaen University Thailand he became full time artist and Art
Director at Kanesorn International art Gallery and Studio,109 Moo King of Elephants no.2 30x30cm Mixed technique
