Looking back, the history of painting was a history of transformation. Traditional paintings have focused on representing three-dimensional
illusions on paper or canvas to reappear the images. The era of modernism that followed was a time to criticize the fabrication of surface arts and
focus on the nature of canvas and the structure itself. However, modernism based on the form of reason and rationality put art in a crisis. Since then,
a new wave of postmodernism has drawn attention to the value of relative and uncertain, raising interest in the organic world and reaching today.In
my case, the new molding method that appears in recent works can be understood first in the context of 'expansion of flat surface'. It is an attempt to
expand beyond the two-dimensional planar illusion world to the three-dimensional physical space while maintaining the root of canvas painting, the
canvas. The color dots, horizontal and vertical brushstrokes on the mesh canvas that I have chosen are all symbolic of natural phenomena of nature.
