The word ‘rest’ has a profound meaning.
Like ‘forest’, ‘sky’ or ‘sea’, rest represents a precious gift that recharges our minds.
It represents an opportunity for letting go, clearing your mind, making space, and
healing. Rest provides time for reflection on the meaning of life and preparing to
face the world.

Through personal struggles as well as challenges and isolation that came with the
COVID-19 pandemic, I have come to appreciate peace of mind that comes from
nature. I have captured these experiences in my paintings.

I hope that viewers will feel a sense of peace and calm as they contemplate the long
road of life, the limitless horizon, and the ultimate destination of eternity. My work
is not simply a reproduction of nature, but rather a new creation born from the
aesthetic experience of reshaping natural space.

it is my wish that viewers can vicariously experience the process and be present with
their emotions. It’s my wish that they can appreciate the beauty, notice gradation
of color, enjoy openness of the space, and gain new perspectives evoked by my
paintings. I hope that my work will help them find an escape from stress, hustle, and
bustle of everyday life so they can find some rest.
