Fayetteville (NC) Area Tuskegee Alumni Club

Makes $2,500 Scholarship Award to Area High School Graduate

The Fayetteville Area Tuskegee Alumni Club (FATAC) re-
cently presented its annual academic scholarship award to Jadyn
A. Surgeon, a 2025 graduate of Seventy First High School.
Jadyn’s high school academic record and accomplishments
were most impressive and exceeded the qualifications required
for the Club’s scholarship. Jadyn graduated with a 4.0 cumula-
tive grade point average while also receiving the Associate of
Arts Degree in Business Administration from Fayetteville Tech-
nical Community College. In the Spring, Jadyn received his
acceptance letter to attend Tuskegee University for Fall 2025,
with the major of Business Administration. He is the son of
Deputy Sheriff Wonder Surgeon and Mr. William Surgeon.

The Tuskegee Alumni Club, a 501 c (3) tax entity, offers
an academic scholarship each year to a deserving and promis-
ing Fayetteville area or NC high school graduate who has been
accepted to or enrolled at Tuskegee University. Jadyn was se-
lected by the Tuskegee Club not only because of his exemplary
GPA but his outstanding community involvement and extra cur-
ricula activities. He played both football and basketball for
the Seventy First Falcons, and during off season, held a part
time cashiers job at Carlie C’s IGA. Jadyn is an active and de-
voted member of Lewis Chapel Baptist Church where he serves
