For the Love of Mothers
Mother-the woman who loves you unconditionally from birth, the one who puts her kids before herself, and the one who you
can always count on above everyone else.
On May 9, 1914, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day
and described it as a public expression of love and reverence for the mothers of our country. There is nothing more beautiful
than a mother’s love. Everyone else will come and go in your life but a mother’s love is forever and unconditional. Whenever
someone receives an award the first person they are going to thank is their mother. When we are sick, frustrated, or hurt, mom is
going to be called immediately to make things right or knows just the right thing to say that will make you feel better. She always
has your best interest at heart and only wants the best for you.
My mother is a blessing. She raised my sister and me all by her lonesome. The one thing that I have learned from my mom
is how to be independent and remain strong. When everyone else is counterfeit and wears a false face mom won’t. Mom is the
calm before the storm and the wind beneath your wings. Because of her I am who I am. She is my blessing.
Mothers should be cherished because you will never get another mom. You should show her and tell her every day how
much you love and appreciate her. A mother’s love is priceless and unwavering. She makes sure her children’s needs are met
before she meets her own. She will go without and do whatever she has to do to provide for her children. That is a real mom.
Our mothers are getting older each day and we are going to have to take care of them like they took care of us which

means the parent-child relationship will be reversed. It is our duty to make sure our mothers are taken care of and don’t have to
worry.
I commend and thank mothers for their sacrifices, love, and support. You are the best! You are the gift that keeps on
giving.
