Broncos Return to NCAA Atlantic Regional After Claiming CIAA Championship

The Broncos will compete for one of the coveted quali-
fying spots to the NCAA Division II National Champion-
ship. The top three teams from the regional, along with the
top two individual golfers not on an advancing team, will
move on to the national finals scheduled for May 18–22 at
Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
Head coach Zane Lewis expressed pride in the team's
growth and excitement for the opportunity ahead, saying,
"This group has worked all year for moments like this. Win-
ning the CIAA Championship showed what they're capable
of, and now they get to test themselves on the regional stage
again. We're going to Sunnehanna ready to compete and
represent Fayetteville State the right way."
The Broncos will begin regional play on Thursday, May
7, as they look to secure another trip to the national finals
Fresh off a dominant run to the 2026 CIAA Championship, the Fayetteville State golf team is headed back to
NCAA postseason play. The Broncos, who captured the conference title with a three-round total of 872 (294-288- and continue building on one of the strongest stretches in

Fayetteville State enters the regional field as the No. 11 seed in the Atlantic Region, marking the program's first
NCAA appearance since 2023. That year, the Broncos finished second at the regional and advanced to the Division II
National Championship, ultimately placing 20th in the country. This season's squad now has the opportunity to write
another chapter in the program's postseason history.
The Atlantic Region features 13 teams, including three representatives from the CIAA: Fayetteville State, Win-
