mediocrity”. A veteran film and stage
actor formed a theatre group called
Motley productions in 1979. His best
theatre performances include ‘Wa-

ting for Godot’ which ran for three
years at Prithvi theatre, ‘Enstine’ a
solo play and ‘Dear Liar’ a comedy
starring both spouses Naseerud-
din Shah and Ratna Pathak. He has
also worked in more than 150 films,
few of my all-time favourites being,
Masoom, Katha and Wednesday.

Kalki Koechlin is best known for her
supporting roles in ye Jawani hai di-
wani, zindagi na milagi doobara and
as the lead in a few eccentric mov-
ies like Margarita with a straw. She
is not only a phenomenal actor but
also a director and play writer. She
launched her own theatre company
‘little productions’ in 2015 and made
her writing and directional debut in
‘The Living Room’ that same year.
