A Quality Framework for Daycare of Children

2.1 (Quality Framework) We ensure that children have access to an outdoor challenging play

environment that meets the needs of the children. 1.6, 1.10, 1.19, 1.25, 1.31, 1.32, 2.22, 2.24, 2.25, 2.27,
3.25, 4.25, 5.20, 5.21, (Health & Social Care Standards) I am confident that people are
encouraged to be innovative in the way they support and care for me. 4.1 (SSSC Codes of

Practice) Recognise that people who use services have the right to take risks and support
them to work positively with potential and actual risks to themselves or others.

2.1 (Quality Framework) All staff use a positive approach to risk and involve the children in this

process. 1.6, 1.9, 1.11, 2.6, 2.13, 2.21, 2.24, 2.25, 2.27, 3.25, 4.6, 5.17 (Health & Social Care Standards) I
make informed choices and decisions about the risks I take in my daily life and am

encouraged to take positive risks which enhance the quality of my life. 4.3 (SSSC Codes of
Practice) Take necessary steps to reduce the risks of people who use services harming

themselves or other people.
