5. EVERYTHING ELSE…
HAND WARMTH
Maintaining hand warmth can be difficult and is not always
straightforward. Children are naturally inquisitive and touch
is key to learning.
We would recommend a combination of approaches:
1) Gloves – cheap mitts that enable children to put on and
off easily. You will need more than 1 pair as when they are
wet they are useless.
2) Oversized Jacket – this allows children to pull their hands
into their jacket sleeves when requiring protection/heat.
3) Hand Warmers – these can be in the child’s pocket and
enable them to reheat hands when required. For
example: Hand Warmers
4) Help your child to understand what to do if their hands
get cold
SNOOD
We would recommend a fleece snood.
6. PARENT TORCHES
Torches are available in the box at our wooden shed. Please
use these when walking up and put back after.
