Maria Luz Andrade
Maria Luz Andrade of Parlier died Nov. 6. She was 91.
Mrs. Andrade worked as a laborer.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters.
A rosary and funeral mass were held Nov. 18 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Parli- er. Burial will follow at Mendocino Cemetery in Parlier.

Linda Mae Carrisalez
Linda Mae Carrisalez of Dinuba died Nov. 11 in Dinuba. She was 60.
Mrs. Carrisalez was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Perez; three sons, three daugh- ters, 21 grandchildren, three great-grandchil- dren, two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Mon- day, Nov. 22, at Dopkins Dinuba Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Smith Mountain Cem- etery in Dinuba.

Horacio Cuevas
Horacio Cuevas of Parlier died Nov. 7. He was 43.
Mr. Cuevas worked as a warehouseman.
He is survived by his companion, Rena Ma- rie Diaz; one son, three daughters, his parents, Salvador and Elia Cue- vas; two sisters and one grandchild.
A funeral mass was held Nov. 17 at St. An- thony of Padua Catholic Church in Reedley. Buri- al followed at Reedley Cemetery.

Juan Manuel Ibarra
of Fresno died Oct. 29. He was 59.
Mr. Ibarra worked as a roofer.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Ibarra of Fresno; three sons, and
two daughters.
A visitation and a ro-
sary were held Nov. 16 at Wallin's Sanger Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held Nov. 17 at the new St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sanger.

Manuel P. Marcial of
Visalia died Oct. 28 in Visalia. He was 92.
Mr. Marcial was a retired railroad track worker.
He is survived by three sons, five daugh- ters, two sisters, 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Mountain Cemetery in Dinuba.

Amelia M. Villicana
of Dinuba died Nov. 9 in Fresno. She was 72.
Ms. Villicana was a hair salon owner.
She is survived by two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. to noon Tues- day, Nov. 23, at Dopkins Dinuba Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Tues- day, Nov. 23, at Reedley Cemetery.

Angelita Villegas
Angelita Villegas of Dinuba died Oct. 21 in Dinuba. She was 74.
Mrs. Villegas worked as a fruit packer.
She is survived by two sons and five grand- children.
Services were held Oct. 29, and burial was at Smith Mountain Cem- etery in Dinuba.

Deputies in San Diego checked background re- cords and learned they were wanted in Fresno County for murder, and federal authorities trans- ported the men to Los Angeles on Nov. 1. The Cernas were extradited to Fresno a few days later.

E. William (Bill) Duerksen, son of Elmer Franklin and Marie Duerksen, born October 11, 1939 in Hillsboro, Kansas, passed away on October 27th, 2021 in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Bill was raised on a Kansas farm, attended a one room school house through the 8th grade and then moved to Reedley, California where he attended Emmanuel Academy, Reedley High School, and Reedley College. He later served in the U. S. Army Reserve and attended San Jose State University.
In 1966, he married Charlotte Lyde McCleery of Ewa, Hawaii, daughter of Walter Lyde McCleery, Jr., and Edith Elizabeth McCleery. Together they lived in San Jose, California for 52 years where they raised their daughters, Pamela and Suzanne. In 2018, they moved to Gallatin, Tennessee.
He loved spending time with the family, friends and traveling. His career began in sales and transitioned to real estate investing. If he wasn’t working or with family, he could be found playing golf at Almaden Golf and Country Club where he had many wonderful friends and even had 3 hole-in-ones.
Bill is survived by his wife Charlotte Duerksen, his daughters Pamela Lyde Duerksen Eatman (Ronald Dean) and Suzanne Marie Duerksen Cathcart (Eugene Childs), his sister Katherine Faye Duerksen Kroeker (Darell Lee), and grandchildren Grace Lyde Eatman, William Lee Eatman, and Lillian Marie Eatman.
A private memorial was held in Gallatin, Tennessee, and a celebration of life will be held in California at a later date.

Jesse Cruz serna
January 28, 1960 ~ November 5, 2021
Jesse Cruz Serna “Chuy” passed
away on November 5, 2021 at the age of 61 . Jesse was born on January 28, 1960 in Dinuba, California.
He was the son of Jesse & Celia Serna
Jesse grew up in Cutler and graduated from Orosi High School
in 1978. He later moved to Fresno where met and married Debra Davis of Fresno on August 31, 2001. In the winter of 2010 he moved back to Visalia where he retired . Jesse was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed being out doors working on the yard, playing catch with his dog Boomer and taking the dogs to the river with his nephews. He was a sports fanatic he loved his Raiders, Yankees and Lakers. He loved listening to Classic Rock and hanging out with his family.
In addition to his parents Jesse and Celia Serna he was predeceased by his wife Debra Davis Serna, his sisters Janet Serna Hernandez and Pauline Serna Hernandez and his brother
Victor Serna. He is survived by sister Barbara Serna Mejia and Guadalupe Meija of Cutler, sister Rachel Serna Montague and Tom Montague of Dinuba, brother Robert E. Serna Sr and Nancy Serna of Visalia, 6 Nieces, 11 Nephews and his dog Boomer.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Lucille Bubenik, Hoveiler, 94 years
young, passed away on November 4,
2021. She was from Sanger. She was born
in Granger, Texas to Mary and Joseph Bubenik. She came to California at 12 years old. When she walked into her new school room, Richard told his friend, that he was going to marry her. They married at 19 years old. They had two children, Marla and Marvin. She spoke only Czechoslovakian and learned English very quickly, with no accent.
She held many jobs in her life and loved learning each new one. Her first job at 14 years old was picking grapes, and she loved picking cotton with her dad. In high school she worked at the candy store then Barr Pharmacy. Later in life, she loved working at Gottschalks for the cosmetic buyer, she also worked for See’s Candy and the Airport Gift Shop. Her favorite job was with the IRS, for 15 years, when asked to be supervisor, she declined.
Lucille was an excellent cook and baker, she could have had a bakery. She was quite the seamstress, she sewed her daughters beautiful dresses, complete with French seams. She sang and played guitar in her many, many years on the road as a musician.
She is survived by her daughter Marla Hoveiler. Her son Marvin passed in 2019.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021
at the Sanger Cemetery.
