A residence sustained about $30,000 in damage from an over- night fire on Dec. 11 in southwest Reedley.
A Reedley Fire Department news release stated that fire- fighters were dispatched to the
1 a.m. blaze in the 200 block of West Olson Avenue, and upon ar- rival found smoke coming from the roof eves of the single-family structure.The attic area was full of smoke, and firefighters entered through the attic to suppress the fie that was smoldering above the kitchen area.
About 16 firefighters and per- sonnel from RFD were on scene to battle the blazed, and the fire was fully contained after 30 minutes.
According to RFD, electrical heating devices that were outside the structure were suspected to be the cause of the fire. No one was injured in the incident.
