then sped away from the scene. Police fol- lowed in pursuit, which continued north of the city and ended when the truck lost control and crashed into a fence in the area of Reed and Lincoln avenues. Offi- cers detained the four suspects, including the driver, Vasquez.
After the stop, of- ficers located stolen
property inside the suspects vehicle. They determined some of the property had been taken from vehicles in the area where officers initially spotted the suspects. That proper- ty later was returned to the owners.
Police said no prop- erty was located from the three reported bur- glaries that occurred on
Feb. 12. However, some property was not identi- fied as belong to any of the victims of the most recent burglaries.
Anyone who may have any information regarding these cases, or who may have sur- veillance from the ar- eas of these cases, is en- couraged to contact the Reedley Police Depart- ment at (559) 637-4250.
Coles said an off duty police officer happens to live in that neighbor- hood.
The injured man no- ticed the patrol car and ran up to the home to ask for help.
“The victim went up to the officers door to see if he was home," Coles said. “The officer was not home at the time.”
The victim then ran to a few more houses bang- ing on doors and asking for help.
A neighbor called po- lice and the victim was transported to the hospi- tal in stable condition.
“We have a suspect vehicle description,” said Coles. “But we're not go- ing to release that infor- mation at the moment.”
Anyone with informa- tion is asked to call the Sanger Police Depart- ment at (559) 875-8521.

MVT Staff Report
The Tulare County District Attorney’s Bu- reau of Investigations announced the first week of February that 21 felony arrest war- rants were served for suspects wanted for allegedly committing welfare fraud in Tulare County. Among those served was a woman from Reedley, another woman from Dinuba and one from Orosi.
According to a press release from the Dis- trict Attorney’s Office, among the individu- als arrested and either booked into the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facil- ity or cited and released were Jesenia Becera, 39, of Reedley, Marisel- la Calvillo, 35, of Dinuba and Loreno Sanchez, 27, of Orosi.
Of all the suspects ar- rested for welfare fraud, all but one were female. The majority of them were from Visalia.
The total amount of al- leged fraud in these cases was reported at $191,809.
In 2019, the District Attorney’s Bureau of In- vestigations identified $725,179 in fraudulent benefits, resulting in felony criminal charges being filed in 79 cases. The fraudulent activity in these cases included activities such as failing to report income, fail- ing to report changes in household composition, and the trafficking of EBT benefits for finan- cial gain.
It is a felony for an individual to make a false statement or mis- representation of mate- rial facts in order to ob- tain over $950 of aid that they were not entitled to receive.
The District Attor- ney’s Bureau of Investi- gations said it will con- tinue to diligently inves- tigate all suspected fraud committed against public assistance programs in Tulare County.
If the public has fur- ther information related to suspected fraud, they are encouraged to con- tact the office at (559) 636-5410.
