THE CHURCH OF CHRIST
CAREER DAY Continued from page A1
Vaca said the career day was impactful with over 70 guests and career fair presenters.
“Students appreciat- ed hearing from success- ful people and shared that they truly enjoyed themselves,” Vaca said.
Senior Melanie Figueroa attended a session to hear Dr. Su- zanne Rodriguez, an Orosi High alum who works for Robson Fo- rensics Incorporated as a school administration and social work witness expert. At the end of the second session, Rodri- guez made quite an im- pression on Figueroa.
“She wasn’t afraid of the bills and debt, she just kept going,” said Figueroa. “She really in- spired me to think about getting a doctorate.”
Figueroa plans to major in Biology but is still undecided on what college she would like to attend.
Vaca said the day con- tinues to be a premiere event for the school.
“Overall, career day continues to be a pre- mier event on campus as a way to motivate and inspire our students,” he said.
During the lunch hour, students had an opportunity to meet with college and univer- sity representatives as well as law enforcement agencies and military branches.
