The annual Build a Scarecrow contest was held on Oct. 22 at the Dinuba Chamber’s Fall Mixer as participants vied to see whose scare- crows would be one of the winners.
The mixer featured food, raffles, networking opportunities and family fun.
The chamber provid- ed straw, stuffing and a stand for the event as contestants of all ages showcased their creativ-
ity.
Judging categories
were most original, scar- iest, funniest and cutest scarecrow. This year’s winners were: Newton and Sons, most original and most popular; Tulare County Supervisor Eddie Valero, first runner-up and funniest scarecrow; the Gallardo family, cut- est scarecrow; Tulare County Office of Educa- tion – Dinuba, scariest scarecrow.
Three of the scare- crows are on display at the chamber office.
