A Sanger chiropractor and his wife are once again rais- ing funds to help support fire- fighters and first responders.
Dr. Roman R. Hysell and his wife Tevy, an acupunctur- ist, of Chiropractic Acupunc- ture Nutrition held a fund- raiser for local firefighters as they were battling Bay Area fires nearly a year ago.
Now, the pair is conduct- ing a second fundraiser for all first responders as fires ravage the nearby Sierra Ne- vada. They will be providing stuffed koala bears to chil- dren who may have been dis- placed by the fires.
The couple, in conjunction with OnTrak, will be holding a BBQ Fundraiser on Sat- urday, Oct. 17. They will be serving a half-chicken plate with two sides and a roll. Plates can be picked up via a drive-up option at their fa- cility at 2216 Jensen Ave. in Sanger from 3 to 5 p.m.
In addition to the BBQ plates, citizens also have the opportunity to sponsor a stuffed koala bear to be given to displaced children. They hope to sell 200 stuffed koalas.
Plates and sponsorships can be made by visiting on- trak4life.org.
