Notice is hereby given that the following measure is to be voted on at the City of Reedley municipal election to be held in the County of Fresno, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
REEDLEY PUBLIC SAFETY & VITAL CITY SERVICES MEASURE
To maintain 911 emergency response times, police protection, neighborhood pa- trols, anti-gang and drug programs; repair streets, alleys, potholes, and other infrastructure; maintain neighborhood parks, youth, after-school, and senior programs; retain and attract lo- cal businesses; address homelessness; and provide other services; shall the City of Reedley enact a 3⁄4¢ sales tax providing approximately $1,500,000 annually, requiring annual audits

Synopsis of Measure
REEDLEY MEASURE FOR TRANSACTIONS AND USE TAX INCREASE
The proposed measure would authorize a three quarters of one percent (0.75%) increase to the transactions and use tax within the City of Reedley that would be imposed on retail transactions involving the sale and use of personal property. Revenues raised by the new tax would belong to the City of Reedley and would not be shared with the County, State, or any other agency. The proposed tax increase contains no sunset date.
