Tulare Co. announces March primary filing

The Tulare County Registrar of Voters, Michelle Baldwin, an- nounced that Sept. 12 was the first day candi- dates may begin gath- ering signatures in lieu of the filing fee for the March 3, 2020 Presiden- tial Primary Election.
Petition forms may be picked up from the Tulare County Regis- trar of Voters office at 5951 South Mooney Blvd. in Visalia. The of- fice is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mon- day through Thursday and8a.m.to12p.m.on Friday.
The deadline for sig- natures in lieu is Nov.
6.
For judges, the non-
refundable filing fee and/or signatures in lieu must be presented at the time the candi-
date files a Declaration of Intent. Declaration of Intent filing period opens Oct. 28 and closes Nov. 6.
The Nomination Pe- riod opens Nov. 11 (the Tulare County Regis- trar of Voters office will be closed on Nov. 11 in observance of the Veterans Day Holiday) and closes Dec. 6.
Being that the clos- ing day falls on a Fri- day, the Tulare County Registrar of Voters of- fice will be open that day until 5 p.m.
The non-refundable filing fee and/or signa- tures in lieu must be presented at the time the candidate picks up the Nomination Packet during the Nomination Period.
