A very much loved husband,
father, grandfather, and brother,
Paul M. Romero Jr., 79, of Cutler-
Orosi, passed away peacefully
on October 26, 2018, surrounded with his family present. Our family is lled with sorrow but happy that he is now in peace with our Lord and reunited with loved ones. He met each day with grace, dignity, humor and most of all, showing love for his family and God-- in the midst of his illness. He was the eldest son of Paul Sr. and Guadalupe (Garcia) Romero and born on April 18, 1939 in Los Angeles. He was proud to have grown up and live the majority of his life in the communities of Cutler-Orosi of which he dearly loved. Paul Jr. married the love of his life, Pauline Jaramillo and was blessed to celebrate 56 years of marriage with ve children. While attending Orosi High School he worked alongside his father as a barber and enjoyed playing the tenor saxophone in a band called the Latin Notes. While in college, Paul served as a U.S. Navy Reserve Of cer. After graduating from College of the Sequoias, he graduated from the police academy and worked for 25 years in public service for Tulare County as a deputy sheriff and as fraud investigator. In 1996, he retired from serving as Marshal for the Dinuba Municipal Court. Our family remembers proudly our father for his generosity of time and commitment given as a church council member, a founding charter member and past president of the Cutler-Orosi Latin American Club, and was proud to be a Lyon’s club member. Paul also enjoyed many adventures with Pauline in their membership with the Sequoia T-bird car club.
Paul will be forever remembered by his adoring wife Pauline and their children: Lori (Rudy), Angela (Alan), Sally (Manuel), Monica (Tim) and son Paul Romero III. He also will be lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren: Lenea, Lawrence, Lisa, Julia, McKenna, Analisa, Larisa, Anthony, Cinda, Alana, and Great-grandchildren (Sophia, Ivy, and Oliver). He will also be greatly missed by his surviving sisters Olivia Velasquez, Stella Romero, and brother George Romero and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Rosary prayer service will be held at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Dinuba, on Wednesday, November 7 at 6 pm (viewing starting at 5 pm).
A Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 8th, at 10 am (also at St. Catherine’s Church - 356 N. Villa Ave., Dinuba) and followed with a luncheon at Orosi Memorial Hall.
