to compete. The Discovery division is a contest specifically for seventh and eighth grades. We also had numerous other teams that competed, including two Discovery, 2 Novice, six Open and one Officer Team.
Other schools who competed at this event included Tulare, Farmersville, Exeter, Monache, Woodlake and several more. After all teams finished competing, they returned to the auditorium, nervously waiting for the results.
Overall, Dinuba FFA had many great accomplishments. Our Discovery teams got first and second place in their division in their first year of existence. The
Arrests
Novice teams placed first in their groups, advancing to a very challenging final round to place first and second high team overall.
Within all the divisions, there were numerous outstanding officers plaques awarded to the best officer in their division. These outstanding officers include Sukhdeep Kaur (Discovery), Sophia Brenes (Discovery), Haylee Friedman (Discovery), Ezekiel Macias (Discovery), Sherrise Macias (Novice), Erick Tapia (Novice), Kassandra Carbajal (Novice), and Heidi Nuñez (Open). All participants did an outstanding job representing Dinuba FFA.

On October 10th, Dinuba FFA competed in the Opening and Closing ceremonies competition at Tulare Union High School. Opening and Closing is a ceremony in which students memorize a script that a chapter officer, such as the President, Vice President, or Secretary, would say to open an official FFA meeting. Dinuba was well represented, taking the most teams of all schools who competed.
