Pirates girls badminton finishes with 5 qualifiers

Six players representing Reedley and Orange Cove were members of the County All-Star baseball team that lost by a 9-0 score to the City All- Stars on May 25 at Chukchansi Park in downtown Fresno.
JTFriesen,RomanRosales and Derek Wood represented Central Sequoia League co- champion Immanuel High; Jus- tin Rackley and Oscar Lemus repped Reedley High while
Andrew Solis was Orange Cove High's lone representative.
Reedley's Russ Sauceda was an assistant coach for the County.
The City All-Stars quickly took control in the first inning, scoring four runs and never looking back.
It was the final game as a coach for the Clovis High's James Patrick, who wrapped up his 32nd year by leading the Cougars to the Central Section title for a ninth time.

Reedley High School's girls badminton team had five players qualify for Cen- tral Section tournament play this past spring.
Julie Scott and Destiny Renteria teamed up to win the North Yosmite League doubles championship while Mia Quiroz and Meghan
Hansen finished third in league. In addition, Rylee Kubo placed fourth in sin- gles competition to qualify for the section playoffs.
In team competition, the Pirates qualified for the sec- tion playoffs and were seed- ed eighth out of 11 schools. Reedley lost its playoff by a 14-10 score to ninth-seeded Edison High.
Mulligan, Duncan to play in City-County softball June 19

Reedley High's Emma Mulligan and Immanuel High's Brianna Duncan will be in opposite dugouts
for the annual Fresno City- County All-Star softball game on Wednesday, June 19, at Fresno State's Margie Wright Diamond.
Mulligan, the North Yo- semite League's Most Valu- able Player, is a member of the City squad coached by Courtney Dale from Clovis North. Duncan, first-team all-Central Sequoia League selection, will play for the County and coach Rus Heff- ley from Hanford West High.
The City features four players from section Divi- sion 1 semifinalist Buchan- an while the County has five players from Division 4 semifinalist Chowchilla.

Parent pride for graduating star athletes
Last week's graduations at Reedley High School and Immanuel High School had mo- ments where standout athletes shared the stage with a parent.

This fall, the three-sport standout will attend Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, where she will play softball.
