• Two citations for open alco- holic containers were issued in a park in the 400 block of Academy Avenue.
• An industrial accident was reported in the 800 block of Annadale Avenue. A female employee reportedly burned her leg during a grease acci- dent.
Wednesday, September 30
There were 124 calls for ser- vice and 17 traffic citations were issued.
• A male subject was arrest- ed for outstanding warrants in the 2200 block of Mary Avenue and later transported to Fresno County Jail.
• A subject reportedly exited a business establishment in the 2600 block of Jensen Avenue with a case of beer without paying for it. An investigation is ongoing.
• A female subject was arrest- ed in the 400 block of Academy Avenue for a restraining order violation and was later trans- ported to Fresno County Jail. • A female subject was ar- rested for trespassing in the 900 block of J Street and later taken to Fresno County Jail.
• Officers responded to the 100 block of Academy Avenue for a report of a disturbance. A victim reported being as- saulted by an employee of a business establishment and
requested criminal charges be filed. Police will be filing a criminal complaint against the employee for battery with the District Attorney’s office.
Thursday, October 1
There were 139 calls for ser- vice and 12 traffic citations were issued.
• A male subject was arrested for public intoxication in the 500 block of Academy Avenue. He was later transported to the Fresno County Jail and placed in a sobering cell.
• Officers arrested a female subject for an outstanding fel- ony warrant in the 300 block of J Street.
• A patient at a facility in the 2500 block of Jensen Avenue had reportedly threatened to harm themselves. The subject was sent for a 72-hour mental health evaluation.
Friday, October 2
There were 125 calls for ser- vice and 13 traffic citations were issued.
• Sanger police recovered an unoccupied stolen vehicle in the area of Jenni and Dalton avenues.
• A subject check in the 700 block of Edgar Avenue result- ed in a subject being arrested for a misdemeanor warrant.
• Officers responded to the 400 block of Academy Avenue for a report of a single vehicle ac- cident on private property. No injuries were reported.
• Officers responded to the area of North and Sanger av- enues for a report of a non- injury traffic collision.
• Shots fired from a residence was reported in the 600 block of Edgar Street. After an in- vestigation, officers arrested a male subject for negligently
discharging a firearm. The firearm was recovered.
Saturday, October 3
There were 103 calls for service and 5 traffic citations were issued.
• A report regarding possible elderly abuse was made in the 1400 block of Hoag Avenue. Adult Protective Services was contacted regarding the case. • Officers responded to the 900 block of Academy Avenue for a disturbance. A female sub- ject was subsequently arrested on an outstanding warrant.
• A man reportedly attempted to flee from officers after they responded to the 700 block of P Street for a report of a suspi- cious person. He was detained and arrested for resisting and delaying arrest.
• A male subject was arrested in the area of 7th and N streets for possession of methamphet- amine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• A male subject was arrested in the 200 block of Academy Avenue for being under the influence of narcotics, being in possession of methamphet- amine and being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
• A woman in the 2800 block of Casty Court reported that her boyfriend had pulled a gun on her. The man is currently wanted on weapons charges and domestic violence charges. • A male subject was arrest- ed in the area of 500 block of Barbara Avenue for public intoxication. When officers at- tempted to contact him, he re- portedly attempted to fight the officers. He was also charged with aggravated assault and obstruction.
Sunday, October 4
There were 93 calls for ser-
vice and 7 traffic citations were issued.
• A 64-year-old female was located in a bathroom in the 1200 block of Tucker Avenue, not breathing. Upon arrival, of- ficers began CPR until Sanger paramedics arrived on the scene and took over. The fe- male, who had cancer and was reportedly released from the hospital just a few days prior, passed due to natural causes. • A 1995 white Toyota Tacoma was reported stolen in the area of Bennett Way and North Av- enue.
• A stolen vehicle (2005 gray Chevy Silverado) was found unoccupied near JFK Park at Walton and Tucker avenues.
• A female subject was placed on a 72-hour mental health hold after officers responded to a medical aid call in the 1300 block of 12th Street for woman with a hole in her leg. Officers later found the female on Al- mond Avenue, between Acade- my and Olive avenues. Though she revealed a large injury to her calf, she refused to coop- erate with officers or answer their questions and was report- edly acting erratic.
• Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Church and North avenues for littering. The driver of the vehicle was cited for being unlicensed and a passenger was cited for lit- tering.
• Sanger police responded to the 500 block of J Street for a male subject who had caused a physical disturbance with his family. When officers arrived, he reportedly attempted to fight with the sergeant but was quickly subdued with a taser. He was detained, arrested and later transported to the Fresno County Jail.
