Bulldog lady Junebug is only about a year and a half old and weighs 54 compact pounds.
Junebug already knows some commands, loves car rides, water, kids and other dogs.

The cost for each adoption may vary.
Mary and Jane are bonded female German Shepherd mixes, about 4-5 years old.
They are gentle and laid back ladies who get along well with other dogs and they love kids. They're probably used to staying in the house and maybe go- ing for short walks.

There's a place to cool off in Sanger when the you need a place to escape from the heat.
Thanks to a grant from PG&E the City of Sanger annex building at 1789 Jensen Avenue will be opened from noon to 6 p.m. as a cooling center every time the temperature reaches or tops 105 degrees.
Anyone who needs shelter can visit the cool- ing center by entering through the annex build-

New flags for
the 4th of July

Waytogo City of Sanger for removing the faded, torn and tattered flags downtown and replacing them with brand new flags just in time for Independence Day.
Many of the older flags were appropriately retired during a ceremony at the 4th of July event on the high school practice fields.
AMVETS Post 98, which conducted the respectful and somber retirement ceremony, periodically properly retires flags which have become faded and worn.
You can drop of flags that are ready to be retired at the Herald, 740 N St. in downtown Sanger and we'll see that they get to the AMVETS.
Junebug, Jojo, Roscoe, Tank and Mary and Jane are still waiting to meet you and hoping for a forever home.

Smoke from the Lions fire in the Ansel Adams Wilderness has been drifting into the Valley causing some problems with our air qual- ity.
