Garden Checklist: The perfect time to plant roses is now

The Garden Check- list is filled with tips and tricks for local gardeners who wish to keep their greenery, flowers and herbs looking beautiful all year long.
All about roses. Roses are planted bare root in January or February, but other rose tasks may also be done this month.
New roses of many varieties are featured in magazines and articles or view them on-line. Look for those you like, select ones that are suit- able for your area and buy them bare root. Con- sider the aesthetic quali- ties of roses as well as size when placing them in the landscape.
