a few subtle changes that seemed to go over well with visitors.
For one, the two concert stages were situ- ated on 11th Street, back a few yards from the intersection at G Sreet, and on the south end of the Faire at the intersection of G and 12th streets. That drew foot traffic a bit off the main street path, easing congestion somewhat.
Also making a move was the annual Fire Truck Pull hosted by Reedley Relay for Life. The lunch hour event moved onto 10th Street, just east of the Reedley Museum. Teams of volunteers pulled the Reedley Fire Truck toward G Street, with the “Give Cancer the Boot” team represented by athletes at the Reedley College Residence Hall winning again in a stellar time of 19.87 seconds. Seven teams
competed to raise money and awareness for the Relay’s fight against cancer.
Bigger and better this year was the annual Nomads Car Show, which filled G Street be- tween 8th and 9th Streets with a number of vin- tage classic cars and trucks. Further expand- ing the field was the first time appearance by the Fresno Posse, an informal organization of classic car owners who displayed their vehicles in the lawn area of Pioneer Park.
And. of course, there was music by “With- out A Doubt” and “Thee Fabulous Enchant- ments” along with the Reedley High School Jazz Band and River Rats. Also, the Silas Bartsch School Folkloric Dancers drew a large crowd of supporter for their morning performance.
The Exponent will run an array of photos — along with the list of Nomads Street Faire Award winners — in the May 16 issue.

the girls was uninjured. The crash into the Pacif- ic Gas & Electric Co. power pole sheared off transform- ers and caused power lines to fall across the roadway. Residents in that part of the city were without power for part of the morning before PG&E crews were able to replace the pole and restore
power to the area.

annual tribute to the late Aram “Korky” Kevorkian, a lifeline Reedley resident who grew up in the family home on 20 acres on the corner of Huntsman and Rio Vista Avenues.
After training military pilots in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, Kevorkian after the war ac- cepted the position of manag- er of the Reedley Airport. He
also farmed, and was a promi- nent community member.
The Reedley Municipal Airport is located at 4557 S. Frankwood Ave., just north of Great Western Elementary School. Limited parking is available at the airport lot, but vehicles can park along both sides of Frankwood Avenue.
Admission to the event is free. Proceeds from any donations by the public go to benefit Reedley Airport Beautification Projects.
