Robles has 26 years of experience — 15 as a teacher; nine as school administrator; four as principal and; two as executive director of human resources at Lindsay Unified School District.
Robles' plans include working with parents to make sure students come always first. He said working together is key for students to succeed and to have a successful future.
Robles became aware of the many problems associated with the district as the hiring process moved forward.
Some of the concerns parents shared that night were related to nepotism in

the district, low academic levels and lack of parent involvement.
Parent involvement was a challenge on Dec. 6 during the meet and greet. About 10 parents were present.
However, Robles and those parents present will help change that.
Robles said that if it took years to get to where the district is at now, it is impossible that it all changes within a year or two.
Robles' superintendency began Nov. 1.

Pimentel, Maldonado and Beltran decided to seek donations from major developers, businesses and contractors in the city to purchase toys for children in the community.
Beltran said the decision was a last-minute thing.
During the Dec. 6 council meeting, City Manager Sam Escobar said the dinner would still be held but that organizing a toy giveaway would be too late.
"Every year most of the kids expect it," Beltran said. That's why she decided to team up with Pimentel and Maldonado to raise the funds for the toys.
She said 800 toys will initially be purchased for the event. About that same amount of toys were distributed by YCA last year.
"Right now we're basing our numbers based on last year's numbers," she said. "But if it's more this time around, we'll just seek for
more funding."
Beltran said it hasn't
been challenging because businesses and developers have been very generous and supportive.
"Even our engineers that we have out there, they are coming forward and saying that they want to help," she said.
In the event that they have more children than toys, they will still have time to purchase additional toys.
Beltran said other large gifts will be raffled out at the event.
Parents can sign up children ages 2 to 12 years, now until Friday, Dec. 21. Registrations will be from 9a.m.to5p.m.atCity Hall. An ID and proof of address are required and only Parlier residents are eligible.
Beltran said she is glad YCA is holding its give away at their location because now more children will benefit.
Pimentel said the event wouldn't be complete without a toy giveaway and dinner held together.
Christmas came early for students at the four different elementary schools in the Parlier Uni- fied School District.
The Selma Educational Employee's Credit Union hosted an annual gift give-away for Mathew J. Brletic, John C. Martinez, S. Ben Benavidez, and Cesar E. Chavez Elementary schools.
