Thick black smoke and flames could be seen from a distance as the Sanger Fire De- partment’s Engine 120 pulled up to Academy Upholstery in south Sanger on the evening of Sept. 6.
Video footage released by the department on Sept. 7—thedayafterthefire— showed the building, located in the 1200 block of Acad- emy Academy and home to the longtime Sanger business completely engulfed in flames while smoke billowed from its roof.
