Orosi man accused of
lewd acts with a child
Saddle Club hosts horse show

An Orosi man was arrested on Friday, Sept. 20, for lewd acts with a child, said the Tulare County Sher- iff's Office.
According to sher- iffs, TCSO deputies were called out to a home in Orosi on Fri- day evening for a re- port of lewd acts with a 13-year-old. When deputies arrived, they made contact with the reporting person who said a man they knew touched the 13-year- old inappropriately.
After speaking with the reporting party, the victim and witness- es, deputies arrested Cesar Rodriguez, 31, of Orosi. Rodriguez was taken to the Tu-
lare County Pretrial Facility where he was booked for two counts of lewd acts on a child
under the age of 14. His bail was set at $250,000.
Reedley PD plans Night Out, Coffee With a Cop
For the first time in recent years, the Central California Saddle Club hosted an Interscho- lastic Equestrian Association event. The club grounds site off East Manning Avenue east of Reedley hosted the two-day show on Sept. 21-22. More than 40 competitors participat- ed each day. Reedley native Rachel Lancast- er, 17, captured first place in the high school varsity open division in English Equitation over Fences. The Black Fence Farms team out of Clovis finished first in the team competi- tion.

The Reedley Police Department plans two community events for next week.
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the department hosts its annual Reedley Night Out event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at vari- ous locations in town.
Then on Wednes- day, Oct. 2, the inaugu-
ral "Coffee With a Cop" event will take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Mainstreet Cafe, 1052 G St. in downtown Reedley.
The mission of the event is to break down barriers between police officers and citizens.
