On February 8, 2022, the City Council of the City of Reedley adopted Urgency Ordinance No. 2022-01 temporarily prohibiting the issuance of business licenses for any new Smoke Shop or Tobacco Store wishing to establish business in the City of Reedley. Additionally, the Urgency Ordinance temporarily prohibits the relocation of existing Smoke Shops and Tobacco Stores to sites that would create an over-concentration in one area, or near certain “sensitive” uses.
