ABOVE: Staff from Lincoln Elementary School paraded through parts of downtown Sanger on Monday, March 30, in a sign of solidarity with their ‘Ramily’ at home. With students, and many school employees, sheltered in place at home during the current COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, many schools in the area have taken to the streets just to show they are thinking of, and miss, their students. Jefferson Elementary School in Sanger paraded through town in similar fashion on Tuesday, March 31, and more schools are expected to do likewise.
ABOVE RIGHT: Easter celebrated during pandemic. “So today we gave out an Easter egg kit to everyone in the community since we couldn’t do our Easter egg carnival that would have taken place on April 4,” said Madison Leighty, recreation coordinator in Reedley. “Because of the social distancing, and the COVID-19 issue, we decided to do an alternative."
RIGHT: The city of Parlier also celebrated Easter during the pandemic. City crews had the Easter bunny drive through various neighborhoods and spread Easter cheer during the COVID-19 pandemic.
