The Reedley Police Department handled 556 public-initiated and offi- cer-initiated calls for ser- vice, with 104 dispatched as Priority 1 calls. Offi- cers completed 107 po- lice reports, made 30 ar- rests and issued 31 traffic citations. There were five traffic collisions and three DUI cases, three fire calls and 22 medical aid calls.

Arturo Garcia Hernandez Jr. was born on March 9, 1972, in Fresno, California to Rosa Constante Hernandez and Arturo Arrendondo Garcia Sr, and was called by the Lord on September 27, 2021 at 3:30pm. In his lifetime, he was a much beloved son, brother, and father of four beautiful children, who are his lasting legacy. In order of eldest to youngest, he is survived by his children whom he loved with all his heart: Arturo Nathaniel Garcia of Selma, California, Vanessa Angel Garcia, Andrea Aaliyah Garcia, and Xavier Michael Garcia, all of Reedley, California, and his five grandchildren: Cassius Nathan and Jeriah Art Garcia, Kalani Gloria and Malaynah Rose Cedeno, and Ava Marie Garcia. He is also survived by his mother Rosa Hernandez and his sister Jacqueline Bean, both from Visalia, California, as well as many friends and family in California, Texas, and Colorado.
Though the Lord called upon Arturo Garcia Jr. before his time, his family and friends rest in knowing that he is now at peace and reunited with his
grandmother Estela Constante and his grandfather Felix Hernandez Sr. in heaven.

Gene Burton was born on September 30, 1971 to Carl and Georgia. He graduated in 1989 from Sanger High School.
He is survived by his father Carl Burton of Sanger.

Harley Hickman, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather passed away on September 22, 2021, at home, in the presence of his wife Marge and his granddaughter Leah. Harley was born on September 12, 1940, in Sanger Ca to Harold
& Harriett Hickman.
He met Marge at First Presbyterian church in Sanger as they both sang in the choir. They were married on August 31, 1973 and have had 48 years together.
He had a service station in Sanger for 26 years – Sold it and went to college to get a chef’s degree and then worked for St. Agnes Hospital until retirement.
Harley was proceeded in death by his mom & dad, brothers Tom and Gary Hickman. He is survived by his wife Marge, son Chris, stepson Guy and stepdaughter Kathleen, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
There will be a private get together at a later date to honor Harley – Remembrances may be made to Pantano Church in Tucson AZ at 1755 S

Phillip Monroe Gant entered into the
Presence of the Lord at the age of 67 on
Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Phil stated that he was going to embrace Jesus. He had been living in the care of a family of friends in Reedley for two years and passed away at CMRC Fresno after a brief stay.
He was born to father, Verle Monroe Gant and mother, Jewel Blanchard Gant on June 6, 1954 in Reedley Hospital, Reedley.
Preceding his death were his wife, CeCe, parents and his sister. Phil is survived by nieces, nephews, many close cousins, God-son, Armando and his long-time pet companion, Riley! He leaves behind a host of friends who were deeply touched by his life.
Phillip was known for his easy-going nature and jest for life. He was loved deeply. A memorial service has not been determined.
Reedley
Florence Brayfield received her wings
on October 2, 2021. She can now sing and rejoice with those awaiting her arrival in Heaven, her daughter Phyllis Solar, son Gary Hutchins, her parents Howard and Connie Clodfelter, sister Peggy Clodfelter.
Among the many people she leaves behind, who will miss her dearly, sons, John “Tony” (Mary) Hutchens and Phillip Hutchins, daughters Carla “CJ” Manyok (Anthony Patterson) and Erica Brayfield, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, longtime loving and loyal friends, Jerry and Ginger Munson, Roxanna and Wayne Self, two caregivers who spent endless hours and unmeasurable patients in caring for her, Lillie and Marco Sierra and Maria Garcia.
Florence was born in Winston-Salem, N.C. She moved to Dinuba in the 80’s and was best known for singing and playing her guitar’s. She loved sharing God’s word.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Palm Methodist Church in Dinuba.
Pastor Michelle Magee, will be officiating.
